About Me

I’m Alex — a qualified English teacher with over 10 years of experience, a TEFL certificate, a teaching license, and a bachelor’s degree in English.

Since I first started studying English to teach it to others over 15 years ago, I’ve always been curious about how the language is actually used in the real world — beyond what textbooks can show. That curiosity eventually led me to Luke’s English Podcast, which completely changed the way I approached learning and teaching. It helped me connect with spoken English on a deeper level — and took my own English to another level.

What finally pushed me to bring this project to life was spending a year living in Cambridge, England. Being surrounded by the accents, the everyday conversations, and the natural rhythm of British English made everything click. It was then that Alex’s Adventures in English was born.

Now, through YouTube and social media, I share what I’ve learned — focusing on connected speech, pronunciation, shadowing native speakers, and natural-sounding grammar — to help English learners around the world sound more fluent and confident.

This project isn’t about chasing perfection. It’s about curiosity, progress, and helping you feel at home in the language.
